Ingredients
Scale
1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1.5 lbs)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. This helps create a better sear and crust.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic to make the glaze. Set aside half of the glaze for basting later.
Rub the pork tenderloin all over with olive oil.
In a separate small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the entire surface of the pork.
Place the seasoned tenderloin on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the pork generously with the first half of the honey garlic glaze.
Roast the pork in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Remove the pork from the oven and brush it again with the remaining glaze. Return it to the oven.
Continue roasting for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 145°F (63°C). Total cooking time is usually 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the thickness.
Remove the pork from the oven and tent it loosely with foil. Let the pork rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Resting is key to a juicy pork tenderloin method.
Slice the tenderloin against the grain and serve immediately.
Notes
For an even juicier result, sear the tenderloin in a hot, oven-safe skillet on the stovetop for 2 minutes per side before glazing and transferring to the oven.
