Ingredients
Scale
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
12 ounces white chocolate chips (or milk/dark chocolate for variation)
2 cups mini pretzels, slightly crushed
1/2 cup salted peanuts (optional, for extra crunch)
Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. Set this aside.
Combine the peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the mixture in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until the mixture is completely smooth.
Gently fold the slightly crushed mini pretzels and the optional salted peanuts into the melted peanut butter and chocolate mixture. Mix until all the pretzel pieces are coated.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
If desired, sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top immediately.
Refrigerate the bark for 2 to 3 hours, or until it is completely firm and set.
Once firm, remove the bark from the refrigerator and break it into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
For the best crunch, crush your pretzels lightly; avoid turning them into fine dust. Small chunks provide better texture.
To make this a chocolate peanut butter pretzel bark, melt 6 ounces of dark or milk chocolate separately and drizzle it over the white chocolate base before chilling.
If you want a salted caramel pretzel bark inspiration, you can swirl in 1/4 cup of softened caramel sauce before spreading the mixture onto the pan.
This recipe works well for holiday treats and last minute gifts when wrapped nicely.
