Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Place the cubes of cream cheese evenly over the top of the chicken and sauce mixture. Do not stir.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  6. Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and shred them using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir everything together until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  7. While the chicken is shredding, cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
  8. Serve the creamy Crock Pot Angel Chicken immediately over the hot angel hair pasta.
  9. Top each serving with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can sear the chicken breasts briefly in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thinner sauce, add a splash of milk or extra chicken broth when stirring in the shredded chicken.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple side salad or steamed green beans for a complete weeknight meal.
