Make these simple, no-bake peanut butter Cheerio bars using only three ingredients. They are perfect for quick snacks, lunchbox fillers, or an easy, chewy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups original Cheerios cereal
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey. Microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and easily stirrable. Stir well to combine completely.
  3. Add the Cheerios cereal to the peanut butter mixture. Stir quickly until the cereal is fully coated with the binder.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or the back of a measuring cup to pack it down firmly.
  5. Refrigerate the bars for at least 1 hour, or until completely set.
  6. Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars from the pan. Cut into squares or rectangles before serving.

Notes

  • For a slightly different flavor, you can use Honey Nut Cheerios, but reduce the amount of honey slightly.
  • If you prefer a richer flavor, use natural creamy peanut butter.
  • If the mixture is too stiff to stir, microwave it for another 15 seconds.
