Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for heat preference)
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
1 green onion, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and honey until smooth. This is your Bang Bang sauce.
Spoon or brush about two-thirds of the sauce evenly over the top of each salmon fillet. Reserve the remaining sauce for serving.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on fillet thickness.
Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the cooked salmon and garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve immediately. For crispy salmon bites, cut the cooked fillets into cubes before drizzling with extra sauce.
Notes
For an air fryer variation, cook salmon bites (cut into 1-inch cubes) at 380°F (195°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, tossing halfway through, until cooked. Toss the cooked bites in the sauce before serving.
If you prefer a less spicy sauce, reduce the sriracha or substitute it entirely with more sweet chili sauce.
This dish pairs well with steamed rice or roasted asparagus for a complete meal.
