Ingredients
Scale
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
Fold in the chopped almonds.
Drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
Press one or two sliced almonds onto the top of each cookie mound.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a richer chocolate flavor, you can melt the chocolate chips and drizzle them over the cooled cookies.
If you want a softer, chewier cookie, slightly underbake them by one minute.
This recipe is great for your holiday cookie tray ideas.
