Make crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside air fryer salmon fillets coated in a simple honey garlic glaze. This recipe is fast, healthy, and perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water (slurry)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Rub the fillets lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sriracha (if using) to create the glaze.
  3. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes.
  5. While the salmon cooks, pour the honey garlic mixture into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Whisk in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  6. After 8 minutes, brush half of the thickened honey garlic glaze over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  7. Return the salmon to the air fryer and cook for another 2 to 4 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and the edges look slightly crispy.
  8. Remove the salmon from the air fryer. Brush with the remaining glaze and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down first and cook for 5 minutes before flipping and glazing.
  • This recipe works well for salmon bites; reduce the cooking time slightly.
  • Serve this healthy salmon air fryer dish over rice or with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
